Technology People are partnering with APA Group, an ASX top 40 firm to expand their Technology Team to meet the challenges of the future. APA own and/or operates a $21 billion portfolio of gas, electricity, solar and wind assets across Australia. Over the past decade, APA have supported and invested around $750m in renewable energy projects across Australia with more to come, the right people in the Technology Team are key to supporting the energy transformation.
**THE ROLE**:

As the Manager - Tech Capability & Standards, you will lead a team to set the delivery standards for the Technology and Cyber department with a core focus on uplifting the capability of Project Delivery and overall capability of the team.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish a Technology Standards and Capability team ensuring clarity of team objectives and engagement models
- Lead a team of 2 Capability and Standards leads, establishing performance plans and managing team members
- Accountable for ensuring initiatives adhere to the APA Project Delivery Framework, including reporting on alignment to the framework
- Ownership of the APA IT project delivery templates and tools, including project plans, business cases and risk registers
- Create and manage the APA IT capability model, ensuring the organisation has the right skillset to respond to change and execute on the strategy
- Define and manage capability based career pathways for progression of APA IT resources, driving talent retention
- Identifies and coordinates workforce training, in line with specific APA IT needs, and in partnership with PSC
**REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Deep and practical experience in various methodologies including coaching teams, leaders and organisations to adopt delivery practices including agile, PMBOK, ITIL
- High standards, a strong attention to detail and a passion for quality outcomes
- Building exceptional relationship with Technology and Cyber team members to be able to identify delivery capability gaps and influence maturity uplift
- Highly collaborative working style with the ability to work closely with a range of adjacent roles, both technical and functional
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey concepts and opinions to a diverse audience and through multiple channels and mechanisms
- Establish and maintain a motivated capability and standards team with clear roles and responsibilities and accountabilities
- Excellent facilitation skills to enable problem solving, continuous improvement, establish roadmaps
