Community Connector Project Support Officer

**About the position**

The Community Connector Project Support Officer will support the delivery of the Department of Regional NSW’s The Welcome Experience Program over a two year period. This position will work within the guidelines to support key workers which aims to attract, welcome, support and retain essential workers to key regional areas. (Singleton Council, Muswellbrook Shire Council, Upper Hunter Shire Council). The position will liaise with community groups, businesses and organisations to promote the benefits of the program and to recognise opportunities for engagement.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintain good working relationships and ongoing engagement with both local public service employers and local community organisations to provide up to date information on local schools, partner employment opportunities, social activities and details about key amenities and services.
- Assist the Community Connector Coordinator to deliver marketing, promotional, and engagement projects as required by The Welcome Experience program.
- Support the Coordinator Community Connector in the implementation and monitoring of the Welcome Experience Program
- Assist in the development of a Local Working Group and provide monthly and quarterly reports to the Local Working Group, DRNSW and Council on the outcomes of the program, activities and qualitative feedback from key workers and recruiters.

**About you**
- Certificate IV Administration or similar with minimum 3 years’ experience in customer facing roles relevant to the requirements of the position;
- Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills and ability to connect with people from all parts of the community;
- Comprehensive understanding of local social and economic opportunities within the region to support essential worker new to the area
- Ability to network with local services, attractions and groups and advocate for the region.
- A current NSW Drivers License and flexibility to work weekends and afterhours as required.
- Previous experience in using a CRM system (desirable).
- Advanced competence in the use of Microsoft Office Software.

**What we offer**
- **Temporary full time**, 35 hours per week Term Contract up until 31 June 2026 with an hourly rate from $36.6043 to $44.1406 per hour (depending on qualifications, skills and experience) plus 12% superannuation, OR;
