About the job
We are searching for our next front-line leader in the role of Production ECT Supervisor, based in Operation Area 2 - Calcination at our Wagerup Refinery You will play an important part in the success of work execution and people engagement of the Equipment Care Team, working Monday through Friday with a flexible day off once every four-weeks.
You will lead a small crew of operators accountable for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the area and the equipment within it. In this leadership role, you will contribute to and be responsible for:
- Coaching and mentoring our personnel to reach their full potential,- Developing and upholding high standards of process and production practices,- Guiding the team to achieve department goals and guiding the execution of work in all areas of the business,- Implementing and sustaining business system improvements, assisting team members to implement suggestion scheme ideas, and the auditing of standardised work practices
As a link in the help chain to the team we want you to utilise your troubleshooting skills, and Alcoa tools and systems provided to assist with production and interpersonal issues.
About you
To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
- A strong processing background, with experience working in an alumina/refining processing plant or mining/industrial environment,- Validated use of initiative and self-motivation to excel in working with mínimal supervision,- Highly developed team leadership, communication skills and experience in implementing and leading change initiatives is desired, and- The commitment to meet challenges and work with a diverse group to develop and implement strategies across our workgroups.- A strong commitment to driving and upholding a positive safety culture, awareness of the operating environment,- Proficiency in use of computer and MS Office.
