Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

A exciting permanent part time (5 days per fortnight) position has become available in the Nepean Hospital Admissions team. The Admissions Officer is responsible for all tasks associated with patient admissions for day surgery and emergency surgery.

The successful incumbent will be expected to work each Thursday, Friday and alternate Mondays with shift times commencing between 06:00, 07:00 and 08:30 and rotating weekly.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Previous experience in a front line customer service role and the ability to effectively use problem solving and negotiation skills
- Extensive and varied clerical knowledge, including reception and data entry experience
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, including effective interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated competence using databases or patient administration systems, preferably iPM or similar, and experience in using MS Word and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise, co-ordinate and time manage daily in a busy and demanding environment
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated experience in filing and maintaining medical records
