We currently have a rewarding opportunity as a Warehouse Supervisor within our Maritime Australiabased in Osborne, SA and provides a flexibility of 9 day fortnight full-time working option for the right talent.

**Your new role**:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible to establish warehousing team and culture for Hunter Class Frigate prototype phase which will integrate policy and procedure to deliver a seamless transition of inventories from point of receipt to delivery.
This key role will ensure fostering safety culture and customer service with an overarching focus on objective evidence based performance and improvement strategy.

More specifically, you will
- Ensure all warehouse services are performed in a safe, timely and cost efficient manner
- Maintain stock accuracy within agreed target and ensure all inventories are stored and managed ensuring alignment with protection including environmental, security and export classification requirements
- Liaise with customers and coordinate internal resources to ensure service levels and demands are met or exceeded
- Manage resources, equipment and facilities efficiently including administration of warehousing teams and provide timely an clear workplace leadership decisions and communications
- Ensure continuous improvement of current workplace practise to remove all non-value added activities and provide fast, flexible and effective service with a “Lean” and centralised environment
- Prepare, develop and analyse reports to enhance the warehouse performance and review and maintain warehousing standard procedures

About you

**As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have**:

- Demonstrated experience in warehousing and inventory management with prior experience leading and managing a team
- An ability to identify potential issues and develop solutions in conjunction with the function coupled well developed self-management skills
- Strong communicator coupled with an ability to engage effectively with wide range of stakeholders and customers
- Demonstrated strong core values and ability to mentor and influence peers and subordinates
- Proficient user of MS Office skills especially word, excel and power point and WMS or ERP system

Whist not essential, front line management experience and or lean qualification is desirable

Clearances
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
