We are looking for a qualified lead educator who can work closely with the team to provide high-quality play-based educational programs and implement a curriculum that reflects best practice.

As a Diploma qualified educator, you are expected to be an active leader of a team that provides high quality early childhood education and care to children.

This includes:

- Developing strong relationships with children at the service;
- Developing strong relationships that support and partner with families;
- Implementing and always upholding the policies and associated procedures and practices of the organisation; and
- Working with other staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of the service’s operations and service.
- Lead, guide, and support a team which provides high-quality early childhood education

and care;
- Working in accordance with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law and applicable regulations and the National Quality Standard for Early Education and Care;
- Working in accordance with the Code of Ethics;
- Working in accordance with the services Code of Conduct;
- Implementing and upholding the services’ philosophy while undertaking all duties;
- Facilitating the implementation of contemporary, research-based practices at the service;
- Maintain and uphold Workplace Health and Safety;
- Maintain and uphold privacy and confidentiality;
- Providing ongoing support and assistance to other staff in all areas of service operation;
- Providing ongoing support and assistance to the Director and Approved Provider/Management Committee;
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards
- Ensure you have a sound understanding of the expectations outlined in this document to enable work performance to be executed according to our service standards.
- Undertake other duties requested by the Director.

Criteria:

- A minimum of two year experience or ability to demonstrate the capability and capacity to be an effective Leader.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, including the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations.
- Strong proven Team/Room Leader/Lead Educator/Co-Leader experience across various age groups in Early Childhood
- Previous experience as a Lead Educator of a long day care centre
- Diploma of Education (Early Childhood) qualification, ACECQA equivalent, or above
- Current Blue Card, First Aid Certificate
- Up-to-date knowledge of fire training, safe sleeping practices and child protection
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- A deep understanding of childcare best practices, curriculum development, and behaviour guidance
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, nurturing care that supports each child's unique developmental needs
- A passion for early childhood education and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on young lives

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
