A position exists within NSW Health Pathology for a motivated Medical Laboratory Technician on a permanent Full Time basis. This is an opportunity to become part of a small rural team of dedicated, enthusiastic and supportive colleagues. You’ll be working in a multi-disciplinary laboratory covering Clinical Chemistry, Haematology, Coagulation and Transfusion.

Cowra is a charming town set on the banks of the Lachlan river and is surrounded by vineyards, waterways and picturesque countryside and about to open a brand new hospital.

**What you'll be doing**
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the delivery of pathology services within a discipline relevant to the department, including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems and Quality Systems
- Ability to work in a responsible and efficient manner and to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment whilst working autonomously to deliver results within specified timeframes set to meet client expectations
- Customer focused approach displaying well-developed interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with customers and patients as well as clinical laboratory staff
- Commitment to the principles of quality management and continuous quality improvement and to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities
