**The Opportunity**

Extend has a very exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual who has a love for children, education and leading a team.

Extend children at St Angela of the Cross in Warragul are looking for someone to play, teach and take care of them in a safe learning environment at Before and After school Care.

**The Role**

As a hands-on, passionate and motivated Educator, you will lead and manage a team but also work autonomously. As part of your role, you will provide effective leadership that encourages a positive workplace culture and builds an exciting program and service for your team and the children to enjoy.

You will implement and maintain a high-quality service. This involves developing a relationship with the children, families, principal, school leaders and their communities and always providing outstanding customer service.

As a central member of the team, you will plan, deliver and promote quality activities for children which are safe, fun, stimulating and carry educational value. You will also uphold the welfare and safety of children at all times.

You will actively play fun games with the children and support the children’s individual learning and development by managing observations, program planning and reflections.

Your amazing, fun and engaging program will help grow attendances at the Extend service.

This is a new service with an expected daily intake of 20 children per day. Your ability to work well in a team and build a relationship with the school and the community will secure you this role, along with your dedication and enthusiasm to work with children.

**General Work Hours**:

- Monday to Friday
- After School Care 2.30pm - 6:00pm
- Holiday Program opportunities (optional) - up to 6 hours per day

**Pre-requisites (completed, or willing to obtain)**
- Diploma in Children’s Services in Early Childhood Education/Care, OSHC, youth work, children's services or equivalent (or studying towards)
- A current Employee Working with Children’s Check or willingness to obtain
- HLTAID003 or higher First Aid, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Training or willingness to obtain
