**Who are we?**

Wintringham is a not-for-profit organisation providing an extensive range of aged care, housing and related support services to men and women aged 50-plus who have been homeless or at risk of homelessness. We employ over 950 staff and operate from multiple offices across Melbourne, Hobart and regional Victoria. Our Head Office provides the strategic direction and support services for Wintringham’s residential, housing, community care and NDIS services.

**Your new role**

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and tight-knit Payroll Team as a Payroll Officer at our Head Office in Flemington (on Wurrundjeri Woi Wurrung Country). Reporting to the Manager - Payroll Services, you will:
Your duties and responsibilities will also include (but are not limited to)
- End to end payroll processing in accordance with legislations and company procedures
- On Board new employees and enter contract variations
- Process termination requests and payments
- Process salary packaging arrangements and salary deductions
- Produce payroll reports for P&C and Finance Team
- Ensuring payroll related queries are handled in a courteous and timely manner
- Calculate overpayments and monitor recoveries
- To proactively assist with the maintenance of the quality management system and to accept responsibilities as defined in the relevant policies and procedures.
- Practice open communication and pro-actively participate in problem solving

**About you**

You will have:

- Minimum 2 years' payroll processing experience
- salary packaging processing experience
- ability to work autonomously, while being part of a team
- experience in working with EBA's
- experience with PayGlobal payroll system will be highly regarded, however not essential. Training will be provided.
- Demonstrated ability to provide timely and efficient services, set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and pragmatically with a diverse range of people, from varying backgrounds.
- Commitment to always maintaining strict confidentiality in relation to staff, clients and housing residents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed IT skills - Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
- A current Victorian driving licence (optional)
- You will be aware of relevant legislative standards and guidelines.
