**Independent Member for the Council Assessment Panel**

**The Council Assessment Panel (CAP)**
**The Role**:Independent Member for the Council Assessment Panel
The City of Playford is seeking to fill one Independent Member to join the CAP, the successful applicant is required to be accredited at Planning Level 2 from the Accredited Professionals Scheme prior to commencement of their term. The costs of obtaining and maintaining accreditation is at the applicant's cost.
The Independent Member will be compensated for their time and expertise by a meeting sitting fee determined by Council. Meetings are held at the City of Playford, Civic Centre, at 6:00pm on the third Thursday of every month.
**About You**
The Independent Member should have a keen interest in urban planning, a reasonable knowledge of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 and appropriate qualifications and experience relevant to the CAP. As a guide, it is anticipated that the Member will come from the fields of urban planning, architecture, urban design, transport/mobility, planning law, civil engineering, heritage conservation, or similar. A knowledge of and connection to the City of Playford area is desirable.
It is essential that successful applicants have a current DHS General Probity check or the willingness to obtain one.
