**About the role**

Join our Maintenance Team in this newly created role as a Maintenance Planner responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our industrial equipment and facilities at our site in Padstow, NSW.

You will be tasked with ensuring machinery and equipment functionality, and planning maintenance activities in alignment with production schedules, with a focus on preventative maintenance. You will liaise with external contractors, supplier/vendors and our internal production, maintenance, research & development and planning/scheduling teams.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and leading a team of 4 asset care staff comprised of fitters and electricians, you'll have the ownership and support you need to succeed in your role and the opportunity to make a significant impact to production operations.

The role requires flexibility with working hours, ideally starting between 6am and 8am to align with the shifts of the trades team members within our production site.

**Responsibilities**
- Address breakdowns and plan periodic and preventative maintenance activities in alignment with the Maintenance Management Plan
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs utilizing MEX software
- Generate work orders and allocate tasks to maintenance staff or subcontractors
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and disruptions to operations
- Maintain precise records of maintenance activities and assess equipment performance, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Identify, assess, prioritise and control risks to health & safety

**Skills & Experience**
- Strong knowledge of maintenance systems and processes, with technical know-how
- Manufacturing process knowledge and maintenance planning experience
- MEX software and Microsoft Excel experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sound project management skills
