The Warehouse Inventory Team Leader is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Inventory team.
It is also the roles responsibility to support the warehouse administration team by providing and ensuring exceptional customer service, coordinating inbound and outbound warehouse operations.
What you'll be doing
- Empowering team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
- Provide support to staff when issues arise and efficiently resolve escalated issues such as stock discrepancies, customer issues and quality control issues.
- Oversee the cycle count function, and ensure all cycle counts are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures and take a lead for yearly stocktake.
- Delegating tasks to team members and set priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinate work activities with other supervisors.
- Utilise experience, knowledge and understanding of the warehouse in its entirety to provide resolutions to problems / issues that may, or alternatively referring such issues to Inventory and Administration Manager.
- Oversee the cycle count function, and ensure all cycle counts are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures and take a lead for yearly stocktake.
- Work alongside the Inventory and Administration Manager and warehouse supervisors in order to achieve desired results
- Assist management in implementing efficiencies within the inventory team.
- Take reasonable care of the health and safety of themselves and others.
Who you are
- Previous experience working with transport providers.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Previous experience in a warehouse Team Leader role.
- Formal accreditation in Frontline Management or Team leadership.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Recognises the need for change and is open to adapting to business changes.
- Ability to multi-task and work both independently and within a team.
