Payroll Manager required for 6-month contract with Federal Government Department

**Your new company**
This Federal agency offers advice and finds solutions Government.

**Your new role**
Working as a payroll manager you will be undertaking the administration and management of pay and entitlements.
- Lead a small payroll team
- Complete checking as required within the team
- Handle escalations, providing accurate and timely advise to clients
- Ensure payroll processing is compliant with audit and other regulatory requirements
- Communicate and implement legislation changes or processes with team
- Manage team performance via development plans, co-ordinate and deliver staff training
- Participate in payroll and aurion system project activities including process improvements
- Effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders
- Represent the department at meetings, forums and seminars

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Demonstrate experience in a similar role within the APS or private sector
- Baseline security clearance (Australian Citizen)
- Aurion experienced preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication, administrative and organisation skills

**What you'll get in return**
6-month contract on attractive hourly rate with possibility of extension
