**Our Client**

Our client is a leading Australian meat processor with a longstanding history and an enviable reputation within the industry, delivering premium products in to the domestic and export markets.

**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the
**Production Manager** will be a natural leader with extensive industry experience within a
**red meat**
**production** environment (primary processing). The position will effectively coordinate with - and alongside - the production team and assume the overall responsibility and accountability for production performance across this site. This is a fast paced role within a high volume facility, which will require the following:

- Monitor and direct production staff to efficiently meet production requirements
- Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback where required
- Ensure compliance with company's quality policy, procedures, and guidelines
- Ensure a safe working environment in line with WH&S standards
- Build and develop a quality team environment to achieve company objectives
- Facilitate effective internal communication and empower staff to reach their potential
- Review and develop company processes to ensure productivity and financial objectives are achieved
- Manage and address any issues or queries that arise
- Facilitate and oversee regular stocktake of the chiller and freezer
- Act in accordance with HACCP, WH&S, and Quality Assurance Programs and Guidelines
- Monitor staff morale and general work environment to ensure a happy and productive workplace
- Ensure all production staff comply with company policies

**Key Requirements**
- Minimum 5-7 years of Production Management experience
- Technical knowledge and experience within red meat processing (**mandatory**)
- Knowledge of food industry supply chains
- Relevant qualification and/or experience in Food Processing, Food Technology, Food Science, or Meat processing
- HACCP/GMP accreditation
- High-level skills in negotiation, communication, influencing, coaching, relationship management, business, strategic, and project management
