**Position Descriptor**:
This is an UP position teaching a very small composite class of year 5/6s. The position requires working collaboratively with other members of the primary school and whole school teams. Literacy and numeracy are our curriculum priorities and involve the development and implementation of a range of high impact learning strategies, outlined in the site improvement plan (phonics and Big Ideas in Number) that support learner's needs and backgrounds.
Teachers are encouraged and supported to facilitate proactive, positive student behaviour initiatives. SRAS is committed to developing students' wellbeing through its WeMatter initiative, with a focus on embedding The Resilience Project in 2024. Effective special needs intervention programs are in place to support classroom curriculum and student learning. A commitment to differentiate learning for individual students exists through ILPs for every child along with engaging parents and the community.
Swan Reach Area School (SRAS) is a small B-12 site offering small primary enrolments and composite classes. The professional staff culture of high collaboration is also one that feels like 'family'. SRAS is well resourced including provision of personal ICT device for every student and learner.
