Elcom Homes is a custom home design and construct company based in Sydney. We specialise in creating and executing custom designs suited for each client and their land. We are a young family-owned business with a small team that continues to grow.
- **ABOUT THE JOB**_

We are seeking a residential building designer or draftsman with previous residential experience and relevant qualifications to fill a part-time role at Elcom Homes. If you have a strong knowledge in residential projects and experience with CDC and DA submissions, Elcom Homes would love to have you on board.

Your key responsibilities include:

- Design and documentation of residential projects
- Completion of construction drawings to satisfy DA and CDC requirements
- Constant communication with clients
- Design meetings with clients
- Liaise with external consultants
- Liaise with councils
- Responding back to council requirements or requests
- Weekly updates to current and potential clients
- **ABOUT YOU**_
- Strong ARCHICAD skills are required
- MUST HAVE previous CDC or DA submission experience
- MUST HAVE a minimum of 3 years drafting experience within the residential building industry
- Strong understanding of residential housing construction and process
- Must have reasonable understandings of the BCA (NCC) and the Australian Standards
- The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- High level of attention to details and willing to take on tasks required
- Ability to meet client briefs
- Strong communication skills
- Strong time management skills

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Residential Drafting: 3 years (preferred)
