**The Service**

**KU Concord Children’s Centre **is a welcoming and nurturing space where each child is immersed in a rich tapestry of educationally interactive experiences. This unique service has a playground designed to maximise the use of the natural environment which allows children to play and explore as they would in their own backyard.

Our service has been rated as **Exceeding **the National Quality Standard and has a focus on multiculturalism. We incorporate this into our program through activities such as celebrating cultural events with families and staff and interaction in children’s first languages.

**The Role**

We are looking for an experienced Director with a completed teaching degree to lead the team on a **permanent **basis, you will work **Monday to Friday (Thursday & Friday Admin Days), 8 hours per day accruing a monthly rostered day off (RDO) **.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Work rights to enable you to work in Australia
- A current NSW Working with Children Check
- Previous Directing Experience, minimum 2 years
- A recognised Early Childhood Teaching degree level of qualification in Early Childhood or similar as approved by Australian Children’s Education and Quality Authority (ACECQA)
- Teacher Accreditation through NESA
- Completed training in Child Protection legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
- A current First Aid certificate as approved by ACECQA along with current separate approved Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management certificates
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
- Professional level of written and verbal communication skills
- Solid computer literacy skills as you would be required to work with financial systems
