**More about what you’ll do**
Reporting to Replenishment Manager and working closely with the Category Manager for Imports, this role represents a fantastic opportunity for you to utilise your expertise in import and freight forwarding within a dynamic and fast-paced organisation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitoring and forecasting stock and inventory to ensure adequate stock levels across all branches nationally
- Inputting and tracking of all import shipments to ensure timely delivery to Australia
- Working to maximise container efficiency and configuration
- Communicating with vendors and overseas agents, Operations team and freight forwarders
- Ownership over the entire process from factory to our distribution centre
- Minimising runouts and delivering KPI service levels
- Overseeing overstocks and smooth transfer of stock between Distribution Centres
- Managing all import related queries in a timely and professional manner
**More about you**
The ideal applicant will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Business or Logistics
- Demonstrated experience within importing goods and freight forwarding
- Strong exposure to purchasing and importing from China-based manufacturers
- A thorough understanding of demand planning
- Clear and confident communication skills to liaise with key internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Advanced numerical skills and the ability to analyse information
- A high level of attention to detail, strong time management and superior organisational skills
