**The Position**

The Project Drafter will join a busy and highly talented team and will be responsible for the production of in-house CAD drawings for architectural metalwork on building projects. These drawings are for both approval by clients and also for the production of the components. Generally, it involves working from site measures and with architects and engineers, and requires using design skills and employing civil/ mechanical and general engineering techniques. Knowledge of other manufacturing techniques such as laser cutting and finishing processes is also required.

**What we are looking for**:

- CAD operators with experience in mainstream CAD programs such as Turbocad, Autocad and other similar systems
- Other systems in use include Inventor but NOT Solidworks
- **Ability to confidently draw in 3D in AutoCad programs is a must**:

- Experience in fabrication and engineering details is a must
- If you have experience with BIM and other similar systems this is a plus but not essential.

We are a busy company and the Project Drafter is a key person in the team If you can accurately execute high quality drawings in a prompt and efficient manner you will have a stable job for a long time to come

**The Requirements**

Hold qualifications in architectural drafting, engineering or other relevant field (preferred).

Practical experience in a similar drafting and design role is essential and if you do not have tertiary training then at least 3-5 years practical experience would be essential.

**The Salary**

**Salary**- $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per annum plus superannuation depending on experience.
