3rd or 2nd Year Apprentice Carpenters

We are looking for passionate, energetic individuals who have already begun their apprenticeships and are at 3rd year or 2nd year level.

Hayward Developments is a boutique development and construction company based in Paddington Brisbane. Producing custom architectural homes, we have a strong tight knit team that works cohesively on luxury residential homes. We are an award winning building company that works on a small number of custom homes per year.

As an apprentice you will be working under a qualified Tradesman. You will be required to have a can do attitude, attention to detail and uphold respectful conduct towards other trades and fellow team members.

**Responsibilities over the course of your apprenticeship**:

- Erect framework
- Lay sub-flooring
- Fit exterior cladding
- Complete internal fix outs
- Use a variety of hand and power tools
- Calculate, measure and cut materials
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Enthusiasm and a strong desire to pursue a career in carpentry
- Team player, no one is bigger than the job at hand Be willing to chip in where needed
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently when required
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a reliable vehicle
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labour
- Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and materials is a plus but not required

**Additional Information**
- Your pay rate will be determined by age and experience - above award with overtime paid as worked
- This position is available for immediate start
- This is a full-time position

**Skills and Experience**
- MUST have Construction White Card, Drivers License, reliable ute that can transport materials
- MUST have your own tools
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Motivated, reliable, punctual
- Work both autonomously and/or with other members of the team
- Excellent presentation
- Great communication skills
- Non-smoking role
