Trades Assistant

**South East Queensland Hauliers is a full service wharf logistics provider based in Hemmant, 5 minutes from the Port of Brisbane. Founded in the 1960's, SEQH have grown to become one of the largest import/export wharf carriers whilst still remaining a family owned and operated business. SEQH has also had a depot in Toowoomba with a strong presence for more than 8 years.**

Due to our continued growth and commitment to safety, SEQH is seeking **Trades Assistants** for our busy Toowoomba Workshop.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, duties and responsibilities include:

- Assist Tyre Fitter to fit and balance tyres to al heavy vehicles and machinery.
- Complete wheel alignments.
- Complete wheel rotations.
- Tyre maintenance.
- General housekeeping and ensuring the cleanliness of the workshop.
- Assist other areas of the business as and when required.
- Travel to Toowoomba depot to complete tyre fitting responsibilities as and when required.
- Liaising with the Maintenance Coordinator regarding upcoming services.
- Compliance with all National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme Maintenance.
- Follow up on work orders and daily schedule.
- Accurate completion of documentation.
- Fill in work orders with the job description, duration, comments and/or hours if required.
- Fill in paperwork at the end of each job with the description of the job, future repairs, comments, spares, and times.
- Maintain a positive work environment and work as a part of team.
- Clock in and out every day according to your schedule.
- Other duties as and when required.

**Basic Job Requirements**:

- Current drivers’ licence.
- Ability to work autonomously and/or as part of a team.
- Able to travel to SEQH Toowoomba depot.
- Be reliable, punctual, and highly motivated.
- Have a strong focus on workplace health and safety.
- Follow direction.
- Physically fit.
- Displays initiative;
- Is responsible, trustworthy, honest, hardworking and reliable;
- Great communicator;
- Can think on your feet;
- Has an eye for productivity improvement.

**Salary**: $29.61 - $32.78 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 40 per week
