Experienced Stud

Based in Longwood Victoria, Dean Grass Racing is seeking a motivated and experienced stable and stud hand to run our on farm stables and spelling.

Ideally you will already hold an industry licence and have previous experience in a racing stable, spelling or stud farm.

The successful applicant will be skilled in the following:

- Horse handling, racehorses, mares and foals
- Excellent stable housekeeping
- Leading, hosing off & rugging horses
- Feeding horses, including spellers
- General farm duties
- Assisting with veterinary treatments
- Previous experience operating a ATV is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent time management and safe working practices

Your passion for horses, attention to detail and ability to work well unsupervised will see you excel within the business.

The opportunity to ride a lead pony and be involved in day to day training is available to suitable applicants with previous experience.

Private Unit accommodation is available if needed, and award wages on offer, salary may be negotiated based on experience.
