**The Company**

We are working The Geelong Chamber of Commerce to recruit a new Marketing & Events Coordinator in Central Geelong. The Chamber itself is a membership based organisation providing business support and networking events for the Geelong business community.

**The Role & Duties**
- Co-ordination of member communications including event invitations and website updates
- Assist with social media updates, monthly member newsletter,
member EDM’s, media articles and general communications.
- Providing ongoing event management
- Understanding and contributing to improve member benefits and value
- Member support and enquiries
- Attend regular team meetings
- Social media and website updates
- Content planning and preparation for online channels
- Work collaboratively with the Memberships Experience Manager to deliver exceptional events and communications
- Other duties as directed by the Chief Executive Officer or Managers

**Expertise**
- Reliable and punctual in your approach to work
- Competency in use of CRM systems
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft programs
- Excellent telephone manner
- Ability to operate under pressure and can effectively multi task
- Mature and respectful communicator - both written and verbal
- High level planning and organisational skills
- Competent in use of social media including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook
- Ability to liaise with a diverse range of people and build strong relationships
- Post-secondary qualifications in business, marketing or a related discipline; and/or
- Demonstrated relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the not for profit sector
