Public Sector People are currently supporting a State government department and we are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Business Partner to join the team on a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and become permanent.

You will be working with a public trustee located in Brisbane CBD and providing internal consultancy services to managers and staff across the department.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide advice and early intervention case management for issues including performance management, grievances, and workplace disputes.
- Prepare expert advice and advocacy as required at various tribunals and commissions.
- Undertake research and analysis to develop advice, policy, and strategic documents relating to complex employment matters.
- Work proactively to understand the business operations and relevant HR needs for all areas of the department and nominated customer groups in particular.
- Maintain knowledge of contemporary HR practices elsewhere and share this information with customers and colleagues.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Have worked in a similar position within government previously.
- Tertiary education or qualifications within Human resources, Employee relations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and excellent negotiation skills.
- Ability to start within 2 weeks.
