Hinterland Christian College is a creative, compassionate K-10 school in the Byron Shire, New South Wales, Australia. Successful applicants need to demonstrate the following:

- An active Christian faith and a passion to instill Christian values that espouse responsibility, respect, reliability and reverence towards God, themselves and others in the community;
- An ability to program and teach Primary students following the Board of Studies Curriculum with demonstrated capabilities against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers;
- A capacity to undertake routine support tasks across a range of functions in one or more work areas within the school environment;
- A capacity to communicate effectively with members of the school community including students and the capacity to provide support and/or attendant care to students where necessary;
- Commitment to the provision of a secure, caring, challenging and positive learning environment for each child;
- The fostering of a cohesive and supportive Christ-centred community where teachers, parents and students work together for the greater good of each person.
- A commitment to professional learning and growth.
