**About Support Work at AQA**:
Some key areas of the role include:

- Actively support clients to realise their personal aspirations.
- Provide practical and physical support.
- Administration, documentation, reporting and data entry.
- Compliance with code of conduct, police and procedures.
- Developing and adhering to health, safety and wellbeing.

**About Our Support Workers**:
Our Support Workers get to know people and help them - at home, in their local communities, and sometimes when travelling for business or pleasure. You may find yourself taking someone for an appointment, helping them get ready for work in the morning), or preparing an evening meal. Our work can be delivered at any time during the day with peak periods between 6 and 9am each morning and 3-9pm each evening.

**About You**:
Prior experience of disability support work is helpful but what you need most is reliability and a wish to connect with people. As one of our longest serving support workers explains: _to be a carer, you need to have it in your heart._

You might be an experienced Support Worker, a nurse, a student or someone who just wants to care and support others.

**What You Will Need**:

- A deep commitment to the reliable provision of respectful care and support
- A sophisticated understanding of professional boundaries and safety
- A sound level of digital literacy and a willingness to learn
- A current NDIS Worker Clearance and Working with Children’s Check
- Evidence of rights to work in Australia
- Current First Aid and CPR certification

**Salary**: $35.00 - $39.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Public holidays

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates

COVID-19 considerations:
All support workers are supplied with the appropriate PPE and a worker permit.

Licence/Certification:

- NDIS Worker Clearance (required)
- First Aid and CPR (required)
- Working With Children Check (required)
- Evidence of Australian Worker Rights (required)
