**THE APPRENTICESHIP**
**Bradken**, based in **Mount Thorley** are in search of two boilermaker apprentices who have a can do attitude and are able to withstand working in a **hot** environment, especially in the summer months. This is not for the feint hearted and although previous experience is not necessary, some exposure or industry experience would be highly regarded.
**Bradken** have been in the foundry business for over a century, specialising in the innovative design and manufacture of cast and fabricated iron and steel products for the mining and resources sector, and expertly serve rail and transit, energy, structural and industrial casting and defence markets. From small equipment pins to dragline buckets, **Bradken** manufacture products from a mass of 500 grams to more than 25 tonnes.
As an apprentice, your tasks will involve a range of responsibilities including grinding, welding, utilising thermal cutting equipment, and employing fabrication techniques to assemble, repair, and construct various metal or steel products. You will also utilise both hand tools and electrical equipment. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining a clean and organised workshop, while adhering to all policies and procedures with a primary focus on workplace health and safety (WHS).
Undertaking this **four-year apprenticeship** will give you the opportunity to become a qualified trades person in the metal fabrication field and earn your (**MEM30319)** **Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication (Boilermaking/Welding).**

- Reliable vehicle and current drivers licence
- Fully Vaccinated for COVID 19 preferred
- Able to pass random drug and alcohol testing onsite
- Forklift, Dogging, EWP licenses advantageous
