Financial Analyst

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager - Australia & New Zealand, we are looking for an analytical guru with ambition and flair to become a trusted partner in the role of our newest Financial Analyst based in Sydney. This is a key role which sits at the Australian & New Zealand Management Team table and partners business wide to drive financial planning and analysis across the country; this offers a true opportunity to influence and impact on further growth strategies.

You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline and you may be CA/CPA qualified ideally with some knowledge of ANZ statutory and tax law.

Data analysis is your bread and butter. You will have outstanding analytical skills and a strong aptitude to take data from multiple sources and manipulate it to provide key insights which will drive and assist the New Zealand business with decision making.

You will have an understanding of a business partnering approach and a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar financial planning and analysis role.

You will have some experience in the essentials; OLAP databases, ERP systems (preferably SAP), Microsoft excel (advanced), and IFRS accounting knowledge.

Skilled at bringing others on the journey, with a can-do attitude you will show initiative, attention to detail and be entirely comfortable driving process improvement.

Your communication and relationship building skills are second-to-none as you will be partnering with senior management.

A true member of the ANZ finance team; you’ll be enthusiastic and full of energy with a passion for delivering to our customers.

You will be comfortable with regular trips ‘across-the-ditch’ to ensure transparency and alignment with the wider ANZ finance team.
