**Position Description - Systems Analyst**

**Position Purpose**

The Systems Analyst is responsible for optimising, maintaining, and supporting the company’s business systems, including **NetSuite ERP,** and related integration platforms. This role acts as the bridge between business processes and IT solutions ensuring that systems are configured, automated, and aligned with operational goals.

The role involves analysing data, improving workflows, implementing system enhancements, and supporting users across multiple departments to ensure Safety Xpress maintains efficient, reliable, and scalable systems.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. ERP and System Management**
- Administer, configure, and maintain NetSuite and ERP systems.
- Develop and manage workflows, scripts (Suite Script), forms, and reports.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues and user queries.
- Liaise with vendors and third-party partners for updates and integrations.
- Support system rollouts, upgrades, and testing phases.

**2. Data and Reporting**
- Manage database queries and data extraction.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports.
- Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and analysis to ensure accuracy.
- Support leadership with ad hoc data analysis and insights for decision-making.

**3. Systems Integration & Development**
- Develop and maintain integrations between ERP and other platforms via APIs or middleware.
- Work with internal and external developers to ensure stable data flows.
- Participate in system automation, process improvement, and workflow design.

**4. Business Analysis**
- Gather business requirements from stakeholders and document technical specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis between system capabilities and business needs.
- Map and improve processes across sales, purchasing, operations, and warehouse functions.
- Support change management and user training initiatives.

**5. IT Support & Compliance**
- Collaborate with IT on system performance, access, and data security.
- Ensure compliance with IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and data protection laws.
- Maintain up-to-date technical and system documentation.

**Key Skills & Experience**

**Technical Competencies**
- Strong knowledge of NetSuite configuration, workflows, and Suite Script.
- Experience with ERP or similar enterprise systems.
- Proficiency in SQL, JavaScript, and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with APIs, web services, and system integrations.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and system lifecycle management.

**Analytical & Business Skills**
- Proven ability to analyse and document processes.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on system accuracy and compliance.

**Interpersonal Skills**
- Strong communication skills able to translate technical concepts into business terms.
- Collaborative and solutions-oriented approach.
- Ability to train and support system users across all levels.

**Desirable Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Technology.
- ERP certification (NetSuite Administrator, Cloud Specialist, or equivalent).
- Experience in cloud ERP migration or implementation projects.
- Familiarity with RPA / automation tools or cybersecurity frameworks.

Pay: $118,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
