**Job description**

**Job Summary**:
GAVAL Community Services seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in assigned areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for staff and visitors.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas (e.g. dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning)
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Make adjustments and minor repairs where needed
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff team
- Follow all health and safety regulations

**Requirements**:

- Proven working experience as a cleaner
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
- Integrity and ability to work independently
- Good physical condition and strength
- NDIS Check
- Police check

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a commercial or industrial setting

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $24.95 - $42.07 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
