**The Company**

**Key Responsibilities**

**SOX Compliance Procedures**

As part of a US listed entity, SOX compliance is critical. This role will:

- Be responsible for managing Healthscope's compliance with SOX regulation which includes maintaining the narratives, flow charts and Risk and Control Matrices (RACM)
- Promote awareness and understanding of compliance requirements
- Work closely with corporate departments to strengthen the internal control environment and corporate governance
- Facilitate annual risk assessment and gap analysis
- Improve or design processes to enhance effectiveness or mitigate risks
- Work with management to develop management action plans in response to deficiencies and gaps identified in risk assessments

**Continuous Monitoring**
- Provide quarterly updates to the Audit Risk Compliance Committee (ARCC) in addition to regular updates to parent company and senior management of control testing, including IT Application controls & remediation of deficiencies
- Utilise data analytics, focused reviews, and monitoring mechanisms to increase compliance and identify efficiency and effectiveness opportunities throughout the business

**Financial / Other**
- Responsible for Segregation of Duties (SOD) compliance.
- Responsible for the review and enforcement of Delegation of Authorities (DOA) within the company
- Support Internal and Financial related audits through various means of information and supporting documentation
- Build relationships and work with the business to ensure findings and recommendations are agreed and monitor implementation of recommendations
- Assist in the implementation of action plans as well as provide compliance support to projects in order to improve performance of IT controls
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities
- CA or CPA qualified
- Experience in an industry accounting role (preferred)
- Intermediate computer skills - Excel (must), TechnologyOne (ERP)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Good organization skills and the ability to prioritise and manage own work list
- Strong internal control and compliance understanding
