
Casual Home Care Support Worker

APlus Care4All is actively looking for hard working support workers who enjoy helping and caring for others. We do a wide variety of activities with our participants from something as simple as coffee and lunch to something as amazing as dolphin watching.
Scope and Limitations of the role.
- The Home Care Support Worker is responsible for implementing support services aimed at maximizing the living, employment, social and recreational skills of people with a disability.
- Community inclusion, independence, decision making, and personal choice should be promoted through these supports, with a focus on individual needs.
- The Home Care Support Worker is a valued member of the APlus Care4AII team. All service delivery must be in line with APlus Care4AII policies and procedures, the Office of the Children’s Guardian guidelines, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) guidelines, and all relevant state and federal laws.
Essential Requirements for the role.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current National Criminal History Check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Registered and insured reliable car
- Driver’s license
- Copy of current driving history
- Be able to work as part of a team as well as independently
Desirable Requirements for the role.
- Certificate 3 in Disability Individual Support or equivalent Experience in the disability (or equivalent) sector
- Medication Competent
Responsibilities for the role may include but are not limited to.
- In home support including personal care
- Domestic support
- Transport and supported shopping
- Community access and leisure activities
- Lawn mowing and gardening
- Overnight support (respite care)
- Complex care for individual support
Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the role.
- Professional b0undaries with participants and colleagues are maintained.
- Privacy and confidentiality of participants and colleagues are maintained.
- All posts on Deputy have been confirmed, read and understood.
- Start and finish all shifts on time (ring office if any issues or changes occur).
- Log in and out of each shift on Deputy.
- Timesheet is filled in after every shift, with any kilometres written in the appropriate column.
- Timesheet is sent to the office every week by 5 PM MONDAY.
- Progress notes and any additional documentation completed correctly after every shift for every participant.
- Progress notes and any additional documentation sent to office within 7 days of completion.
- Sufficient notice (as much notice as possible) provided to office for any rostered shifts you become unable to work.
- Unavailability / leave form sent to office in a timely manner.
