**In Home Educator for Child with Complex Developmental Needs**
**Location**: Robina, Queensland
**Position Type**: Part-time
**About the Role**:
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and qualified educator to join a family-focused environment and provide tailored support to a 5-year-old child with complex developmental needs. This role involves working closely with a child diagnosed with CLTC gene variance, severe global developmental delay, cortical vision impairment, hypotonia, recurrent patellar dislocation, and dysphagia. The child’s disabilities are lifelong and impact all aspects of daily life, including communication, cognition, nutrition, mobility, continence, social inclusion, and self-care participation.
As an educator, you will play an important role in enhancing the child’s development, working to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment.
You will be supported by a support worker who will assist with lifting and physical care needs, and full on the job training will be provided. The child's mother is home to offer additional support.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide tailored educational and developmental support to a child with complex and lifelong disabilities.
- Assist the child in activities that promote communication, cognition, social skills
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of individualised learning and development plans.
- Work closely with the family and support worker to ensure holistic care and support for the child.
- Assist with the child's mobility needs in coordination with the support worker.
- Provide ongoing feedback to the family and adjust care strategies based on the child’s evolving needs.
- Always ensure the safety and well-being of the child, adhering to relevant care and safety protocols.

- Experience in supporting children with complex developmental needs.
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to care.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, collaborating with the family and support worker.
- Knowledge of child development and special needs support practices.
- A commitment to making a meaningful difference in the life of a child with complex needs.
**Role Details**:
**Days and Hours**: Monday to Thursday, 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
**Start Date**: ASAP
**Hourly Rate**: $40.00 per hour (inclusive of Superannuation)
**Prerequisites**:
- Certificate III in Children’s Services (ACECQA approved) with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (in a childcare setting).
- Blue Card.
- Police Clearance (less than 6 months old).
- Public liability insurance (once successfully placed).
- Medical Clearance.
- Child Protection Training (refresher required every 2 years).
- ABN (self-employed contractor).
- Photo ID.
- PRODA RA (assistance provided).
- Over 18 years old.
- Reliable car and driver’s license.
