Location: Canberra/ Sydney/Hybrid
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
- Key Attributes- achieve results in delivery of complex, multi-stream technology projects on time and on budget
- lead and manage the setting up of the project through to the delivery of the new capabilities and realisation of benefits
- effectively manage issues, risks, conflicts, priorities, budget, communications and personnel
- work positively with the full range of individuals and groups involved in the project program
- proactive interventions and decision-making to ensure that the project stays on track
- coach, guide and mentor the delivery team by developing a team that is both outcomes-focused and customer-focused
- effectively removing obstacles and impediments to delivery as a scrum master in agile delivery
- organise system delivery, showcase and rollout in accordance with agile methodology
- communicate and negotiate effectively with REST Teams, ITS teams and different levels of stakeholders to achieve

Outcomes- continually work towards improving the agile approach used in AUSTRAC and commit to sharing their experience and knowledge with colleagues in and outside the product team
- build and sustain effective teams focused on delivery
- ensure all deliverables documentation produced by the team is approved and well maintained e.g. design document,
- Operational manual, accessibility assessment, IT security plan, backups and disaster recovery etc.
- manage resource requirements and constraints with astuteness and diplomacy
- work to Senior Director/s in ITS to define BAU team for the on-going support for the technology solution e.g. ASL
- allocations, management of ongoing service costs and tier 2 and above technology issue escalations
- update Executive Sponsors on project status (with Product Manager)
- promote an engaging, knowledge-sharing, transparent culture that is aligned with APS values and APS code of conduct
- encourage team members to share and document information to remove agency risks of having single-points of failure
- debate solutions and design in a healthy and constructive manner as well as challenging existing rules and processes
- work pragmatically and flexibly to changing needs and align with branch and agency priorities
- manage delivery performance and encourage team members to learn from mistakes and be accountable for work
- articulate agency benefits achieved through the delivery of the project and decisions made
- participate in the recruitment for new resourcing talents e.g. being a part of recruitment panels
- declare any conflicts of interest that are likely to arise or arise during the course of delivery
- complete reporting and administration requirements of the role
- contribute to other work in ITS and relevant teams as required
- support delivery management colleagues and Directors group as required for broader agency/portfolio initiatives
- Experience transitioning to a hybrid, multi-cloud environment would be highly desirable.
