**Mission**
The mission for the SEO Assistant is to action and implement digital content which elevates our long-term SEO and content strategies. The SEO Assistant will work with leading eCommerce brands to bolster the growth and development of the client's digital channels.
Reporting to the SEO Manager, you will be a key player in the SEO team and work closely with members of the broader Digital Agency team.
**Key Outcomes**
Client Management
- Effectively support the SEO team in responding to client queries
- Execute all client deliverables and communications in line with Pattern best practices and training
- Escalate client problems or issues with line managers in advance of them arising or as soon as these occur
Subject Matter Expertise
- Effectively support he SEO team with the production of deliverables
- Provide metadata recommendations based on optimal keyword selection
- Conduct Keyword Research and Keyword Mapping
- Review a site against Pattern's set of technical criteria
- Keep up to date on new developments in SEO, actively researching, testing, and proposing new approaches to improving search engine rankings
- Become proficient and confident in Google Analytics and Data Studio to effectively understand and report on content performance
Sales
- Support your Line Manager in developing content proposals for new business opportunities
- Grow existing client engagements by identifying opportunity areas and selling-in to clients
Product Strategy
- Support the development of new products in line with market expectations and in anticipation of market trends
Marketing
- Assist with the optimisation of the Pattern site, ensuring content elements are in line with industry best practice
- Attend webinars and networking events where necessary
**Skills and Qualifications**
- This role would benefit a recent graduate qualified in marketing, analytics, computer science or communications with a keen interest in digital and eCommerce
- Applicants must be permitted to work permanently in Australia with no restriction on hours (e.g., citizen, permanent resident)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written,
- First-class ability to prioritise and manage own workload
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Demonstrable use of adapting to different brand tone of voice in different contexts
- Highly proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Having previous experience working with eCommerce clients would be highly regarded
- Being familiar with SEO best practice standards would be highly regarded
