Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre have a vacancy for an Electrotechnology (Solar) Apprentice with our host company based in the Preston area.

Ai Group Apprentice and Trainee Centre is a Group Training Organisation who employs apprentices and trainees then places them with Host Organisations. We provide support for all apprentices and trainees by way of our mentoring program which fits in with regular visits to the workplace and TAFE.

This position is open to individuals wanting to gain experience in solar installations on both residential and commercial sites.
Both current apprentices and those looking to commence their journey in the electrical industry are encouraged to apply.

**Your duties may include**:

- Understand electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and diagrams to determine job requirements
- Plan and measure the layout of solar panels
- Installation of solar panels and solar cables
- Installation of heat pumps
- Assisting A-Grade electrician with general electrical duties.
- Internal and external wiring
- Use of hand and power tools
- Setting up railing systems
- Warehouse operations

**Desirable Requirements**:

- Year 11 schooling
- Cert II in Electrotechnology; 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year apprentices welcome to apply
- White Card
- Working at Heights
- Eagerness to learn new skills
- Positive approach to workplace safety
