**About the Role**

**Location - Benella, Bendigo, Ballarat or DTP's Designated HUB - Flexible**

The purpose of this role is to protect and enhance the Transport Network through the provision of sound statutory planning advice including review of planning referrals, Transport Impact Assessment Reports, and assessment of strategic level land use decisions, including input to Municipal Strategic Statements and Planning Scheme Amendments. This role also manages the statutory consent process under the Road Management Act 2004.

**Position Outcomes / Accountabilities**

You will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following duties:

- Developed innovative responses to complex transport safety and traffic management issues, including review of designs and Transport Impact Assessment Reports, in accordance with DTP Traffic Engineering Manuals, Austroads Guides, and Australian Standards on various traffic management and road safety issues.
- Met the required delivery dates for services requested, ensuring land use management objectives and transport safety objectives are met, whilst providing timely and practical responses to stakeholders
- Contributed to Regional and Corporate improvement projects, policies and guidelines in areas including Transport Safety, Statutory Planning, Traffic Management and other technical expertise.
- Promote and support the Team Leader on safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.
- In line with Section 31A of the Public Administration Act 2004 (Vic) other duties may be assigned consistent with employment classification, skills, and capabilities.

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Desirable**
- Experience in statutory or strategic planning, traffic engineering or transport planning.
- Tertiary qualification in Planning or Engineering.
