**Role**:
- The Pedagogical Practices Leading Teacher will lead the development and implementation of evidence-based teaching practices across the college to improve student learning outcomes and promote consistency of high quality instruction. Working in partnership with the Years 7 to 10 and Senior Years Curriculum Leading Teachers, this role will ensure alignment between curriculum planning, instructional delivery, and assessment practices.
**The Pedagogical Practices Leading Teacher will work with Domain Leaders, Learning Specialists, and staff to achieve**:
- Improved student learning growth through high impact teaching strategies and data informed practice.
- A shared and embedded understanding of the VTLM and MGC Instructional Model.
- A culture of reflective practice, professional learning, and collaboration among teaching staff.
- Collaborative leadership of the Professional Practice Learning Specialists, guiding the work alongside the Curriculum Leaders to support Domain Leaders and teaching teams in the implementation of key improvement initiatives.
**Responsibilities**:
**The Pedagogical Practices Leading Teacher will contribute to whole school improvement priorities identified in the School Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan and will be responsible for**:
- Leading whole school instructional improvement through embedding and professional learning of the VTLM, MGC Instructional model, including responsive teaching, explicit instruction, formative assessment, and differentiation.
- Building teacher capacity in high impact pedagogical practices, including in the digital and online spaces.
- Using triangulated data (assessment, observation, and student voice) to guide teaching decisions, support planning at the PLT level, and monitor the impact of instructional approaches.
- Leading and guiding the work of the Professional Practice Learning Specialists, in collaboration with the Curriculum Leading Teachers, to support Domain Leaders and teams in implementing evidence based teaching practices.
- ** Supporting teachers to use formative assessment** and student learning data to inform instruction and differentiate learning experiences.
- Collaborating with curriculum leaders to ensure pedagogical approaches are aligned with study designs, curriculum frameworks, and MGC¿s teaching and learning priorities.
- Co leading the Curriculum Committee alongside the Years 7¿10 and Senior Years Curriculum Leading Teachers to integrate pedagogy and curriculum into a cohesive whole school approach.
The Pedagogical Practices Leading Teacher will work with the Curriculum Leaders and Professional Practice Learning Specialists as a team across the school.
