**Position: Food Production Operator (including Machine Maintenance Responsibilities)**

An opportunity awaits for a proficient individual to undertake the role of production operator with a keen interest in advancing mechanical skills. While the primary responsibility entails food processing, you will also be engaged in machine operations, inspections, and adjustments as part of the maintenance staff to ensure seamless production line operations.
- Food processing tasks encompassing manufacturing and packaging.
- Daily machine operation duties for startup procedures.
- Maintenance of machinery and equipment along the production line.
- Prompt troubleshooting and adjustments in response to machine malfunctions.
- Replacing machine parts (e.g. embossing stamps and timing belts)
- Routine inspections and maintenance activities.
- Organising stocks utilising a walkie stacker forklift.
- Note: Our production scheduling is demand-driven, aligned with customer orders, necessitating timely execution._

**Key Position Features**:

- Previously, the responsibilities were overseen by production line managers and we now seek to delegate these responsibilities to a specialised team member to enhance our operational efficacy.
- Workdays exclude Sundays and public holidays.

**Experience/Qualifications**:

- Proficiency in machine and equipment maintenance and repair.
- Fundamental knowledge of machinery and electrical equipment.
- No specific licenses or qualifications are mandated (including forklift operation).

**Requirements**:
Australian citizenship or permanent resident visa is obligatory (temporary partner visas are accepted).

**Preferred Skills/Experience (although not mandatory)**:

- Previous engagement in food manufacturing.
- Experience within automobile or home appliance manufacturing.
- Enthusiasm for and aptitude with machinery.
- Academic background in engineering.
- Proficiency in Japanese or Chinese languages.

**Hiring Objective**:
To establish and fortify the organisational framework essential for inaugurating a new factory operation.

**Salary/Remuneration**:
Negotiable annual salary, initially offered on a casual basis with prospects for full-time permanent employment.

**Working Hours**:
Commencing at 7:30 AM.

**Working Days**:
Four or more fixed-shift days per week, with flexibility regarding day of the week.

**Days Off and Leave**:
Sundays and public holidays, with provisions for long service leave following seven years or more of service.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: From $29.04 per hour
