**Introduction**:
Capital Region Community Services (CRCS) operates Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) in Cooma and Jindabyne. We are seeking an appropriately qualified, passionate and committed individual to lead our new centre at Jindabyne.

The OSHC Coordinator will provide a high standard of Education and Care through the development and implementation of contemporary Early Childhood Education or Middle Childhood Education Programs that reflects the Principles and Practices of the Early Years Learning Framework or My Time Our Place Framework. Coordinators in these roles are required to oversee health and safety, quality programming and documentation in line with QA1 and oversight of day to day operations such as (but not limited) medical management, provision of food and water requirements, supervision of children etc. A Coordinator in this role is required to manage performance of Educators and ensure that Educators are provided with professional guidance, supervision and performance development planning to ensure they are aware of and working in accordance with their Position Description, the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, NQF, NQS, Work Health and Safety Obligations and CRCS Policies and Procedures.

**Description**:
**To be successful you will have**:
Demonstrated knowledge of developmental needs of children and experience in engaging children in activities which are appropriate to the interests and abilities of all children.
Ability to develop strong and sustained relationships with children and able to demonstrate a clear picture of the child as a learner
High level awareness of the rights of the child.
Ability to induct, manage performance and professionally develop educators in the workplace
- Ability to provide effective supervision and coach educators to ensure that the Education and Care Service is welcoming, compliant and meets the needs of all children

Demonstrated understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, Framework and Standards.
Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework or My Time Our Place Framework
Demonstrated knowledge of legal requirements and agreement to undertake the role of Certified Supervisor
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement appropriate Educational Programs and Practice (QA1) and in accordance with Part 4.1 of the Regulations.

Essential Qualifications

**Hold or be willing to work towards**:
Qualification in an approved (ACECQA) qualification, or to be enrolled and actively working towards an approved qualification.
Current approved First aid training as prescribed in the Education and Care Services National Regulations (Reg 136).
Current approved anaphylaxis management training (Reg 136);
Current approved emergency asthma management training (Reg 136)

**Skills and Experiences**:
**CRCS also requires all workers to**:

- Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
- Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position
- Maintain full COVID-19 vaccination currency and provide evidence of their vaccinations to CRCS (sensitive information is kept private and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles) unless they are able to provide suitable evidence of a medical contraindication that prevents them from receiving this vaccine.
