**An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic person to bring our cafe to life in our award-winning residential aged care facility, Bella Vista Gardens, located in the Sydney Hills District.**

Bella Vista Gardens is a carefully considered modern residence that offers all of the comforts of home, in an elegant, architecturally designed and very personalised environment. It is an Extra Service facility and thereby provides additional ‘hotel’ type services or lifestyle extras, including higher standards of accommodation and increased activities, entertainment, and food choices.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As a **Cafe Assistant, **you will be a part of a cohesive, dynamic team, that is effective, capable, and thriving in their work, dedicated to providing the best level of service and care to our residents.

Offering simple menu choices, the Cafe is a welcoming place for residents and guests to socialise and relax. Encouraging this atmosphere is a very important part of this role.

Current shifts available are Wednesday & Thursday (9.00am-5.00pm) and on one day each weekend (9.00am - 5.00pm) negotiable. Availability on other days/ shifts is helpful, but not essential.

**ABOUT YOU**

You will:

- be committed to delivering an exceptional level of service
- have an engaging personality to create a positive environment in the Cafe
- enjoy making conversation with the elderly and guests
- knowledge in making coffee / smoothies / milkshakes / toast / sandwiches
- Barista skills required
- have excellent customer service skills
- experience in cash handling and stock control
- good communication skills - excellent English skills essential
- previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- assist with dishwashing, and cleaning duties when required
- be up to date on vaccinations for Covid-19 and Influenza

Experience in an aged care residence is preferable. Alternatively, you will have a hospital or hospitality background and be familiar with food provision and/or the standard of cleaning necessary for an aged care residence.
