**About the position**

The HSE Specialist partners closely with the HSE Manager and is critical in advancing Brockman’s HSE commitments, practices and knowledge through:

- Hands-on execution
- Fostering a positive HSE culture
- Training and coaching employees in the best use of company systems, procedures, and processes.
- Driving stakeholder involvement
- Delivering improvements in compliance and risk reduction
- Processes to drive the HSE performance of the business

The HSE Specialist assists, supports and leads in all facets of Brockman HSE including:

- HSE Management System
- Event and incident investigations
- Training
- HSE support
- Audits and inspections

**About You**
- Minimum Diploma-level qualification in Health and Safety.
- Preferred 5 years’ experience in heavy industry (construction, petrochemical, mining) or 1-5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
- Minimum Train the Trainer, with willingness to upgrade to Cert IV Education and Vocational Assessment
- Trained in Management System Auditing.
- Qualification in Environment (desirable).
- Root Cause Analysis Facilitator (ICAM) (desirable).
- Ability to innovate and problem-solve.
- High level of computer literacy, including experience creating efficiencies and advancing systems and technology.
- A sound ability to extract and interpret data and present statistics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to influence and coach.

This position requires a current National Police Check (no more than 6 months old), a current driver’s licence, and evidence of right to work in Australia.
