**About the Role**

Our Catering Team provides around 600+ covers per day to our patients, doctors and internal functions. This role will work in front and back of house, having a variety of tasks, including delivery of meals (and assisting patients in opening packages where required); morning & afternoon tea service; clearing trolleys; and, assist with basic food preparation.

The role will entail, but is not limited to:

- Setting up, plating and distributing patient meals and beverages
- Assist with general kitchen duties as required
- Maintaining cleanliness within the department and at ward level in line with required food safety, infection control and hospital standards
- Being responsive and sensitive to customer information, their needs and wants

**About You**
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Catering Assistant
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service
- Proven ability to prioritise tasks and effectively manage a high volumes of catering workflows

Desirable criteria:

- Prior experience using Chefmax
- Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality
- Prior experience in a hospital setting
- Qualification in Food Safe and HACCP principles

Flexibility to work across a seven-day rotating roster, including morning, afternoon and night shifts, is critical for this role.
