**Join our new and exciting concept and be a part of our growth journey**: - ** Benefit from both employee and family discounts**: - ** Relaxed atmosphere, great music and great vibes**: - ** Opportunities to form a career path** **An exciting opportunity now exists for hard-working and vibrant Food and Beverage Attendants to bring their flair and enthusiasm to our high volume restaurant.** **ABOUT THE ROLE** **The Jerk** **Wait Staff / Bartender** is attentive to guests, making them feel welcome, at all times while being responsible for selling our great products to our guests in a high volume restaurant environment. **In this role, you will be responsible for**: - Maintaining a warm, welcoming,"IRIE" atmosphere - Checking IDs of customers ordering alcoholic beverages - Demonstrating knowledge of our menu and ability to read each guest to make appropriate beverage and food recommendations - Upselling guests on food or drink items when appropriate - Maintaining a clean, organised restaurant - Accurately ringing up all orders in the POS system while maintaining ability to socialise with guests - Following all relevant brand standards for service - Building guest count by promoting specials and building a regular clientele. - Strictly adhering to responsible alcohol service standards and being able to successfully “slow down a guest” or cut off an intoxicated guest when necessary **ABOUT THE JERK** We are the essence of Jamaica in every bite, packed with classic Jamaican flavours and that 'IRIE" feeling. The relaxed atmosphere, the music, the drinks, the friendly approach to life. **ABOUT YOU** As someone with previous experience in a customer-facing role, you will possess a passion for delivering excellent customer service. You will have a willingness to build long-term relationships with our guests and will have impeccable grooming, presentation and communication skills. **To succeed in this role you will need the following skills and attributes**: - A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate - Ability to adhere to company dress codes at all times - Ability to operate a P.O.S. system, make change correctly and make credit card transactions - Ability to ensure that our food looks and tastes amazing and is prepared according to recipe & plating guides - Ability to maintain high levels cleanliness and presentation throughout the bar and restaurant - Ability to be a proactive learner and recognise areas of improvement to the benefit of customers and the business - Ability to contribute to a positive workplace culture - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team - Conflict resolution skills - Be willing and able to frequently lift cases and carry short distances as well as reach, bend, stoop, shake, stir and wipe - Valid and current Australian Working Rights At The Jerk, we want to create a delicious escape from the stresses of daily life - a place where you can feel “everything is IRIE” **HOW TO APPLY** If you are a highly motivated and energetic individual with a strong customer focus, then we would love to hear from you No recruitment agencies, please.
