Continual globalisation and consolidation as well as the disruptive impact of technology drive the need for companies to undertake acquisitions, disposals or enter into joint ventures.
As an integral member of the Mergers & Acquisitions team you will support the origination and execution of advisory activities in the Diversified Industries sector. Your role will focus on the execution of complex and multi-national transactions by leading teams to help client executives architect strategies and deliver on their merger integration and/or separation plans including:
- Providing end-to-end leadership across multiple dimensions including M&A strategy, portfolio review, due-diligence support, master-planning and execution, value capture planning, organisational and operating model design, NewCo culture definition and advises clients on executing the operational integrations of acquisitions or joint ventures, and separations of businesses;
- Guide clients and teams through full-cycle engagements from strategy to implementation;
- Provide advice to clients during periods of change through leading and architecting optimal strategies and operating models resulting in increased, long-term market-share;
- Contributing to the broader M&A practice through leading pivotal knowledge development efforts;
- Develop strategic client relationships, while ensuring the highest quality client work.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Advanced graduate degree with excellent academic record (e.g., master's degree, MBA, PhD);
- 7+ years of expertise in M&A with particular experience in merger management and/or separations (either in corporate or in consulting);
- Ability to structure, execute and lead complex projects in a multi-stakeholder environment;
- Capability to collaborate effectively with people at all levels;
- Excellent problem solving, analytical, and quantitative skills;
- Capacity to take ownership and prioritise multiple deliverables under tight timeframes;
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills;
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills; and
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a flexible and collaborative environment.
