This is a great opportunity to kick start a new career in the insurance sector with full training and support provided. Our Client is a boutique, reputable and well established Insurance firm who specialise in accident and sickness protection based in modern offices in Manly. They are seeking a self-motivated and proactive team player with a background in customer service to join their small but growing claims team.

You will be fully trained in all aspect of claim management from providing claims administration tasks to full claims assessment managing a portfolio of accident and sickness claims. Your responsibilities will include:

- Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients (brokers)
- Providing high level of customer service at all time
- Following up outstanding claims information
- Maintaining an effective diary system
- Making appointments with medico-legal specialists
- Requesting reports, such as Police Reports
- Liaising with brokers in relation to claims
- Assisting with the processing claim payments and claim registration
- Completing initial claims assessment sheets with detailed action plan
- Managing of claims from notification to file closure
- Updating, liaising, responding to & answering questions from brokers, claimants and stakeholders
- Conducting timely investigations in relation to coverage and medical issues
- Engaging with appropriate experts to assist with claims assessments

To be considered for this role you will have:

- Experience in a customer service facing roles
- Prior insurance/claims experience highly regarded but not essential
- Resilience and be adaptable
- Excellent written & verbal communications skills
- Strong attention to detail & high numeracy skills

This is a full-time permanent office based role however flexibility to work from home after a reasonable settling in period of will be considered. Hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm and the salary guide is up $70,000 + Superannuation (dependent on experience).
