**Position Information**:
Rozelle Public School, located on Wangal Country in Sydney's inner west, sits in the heart of the vibrant Rozelle village. A school culture of connectedness and inclusion foster strong partnerships with the P&C, parents, caregivers and the wider community. From across the local catchment, the school caters for students from preschool to Year 6 with a current enrolment of 570. Highly skilled and professional staff provide quality education and work collaboratively, with a committed approach to supporting the wellbeing of our diverse community. Monitored closely by the Learning Support Team, programs are implemented that deliver improved outcomes for all students - socially, emotionally and academically. An established wellbeing framework, that includes Restorative Practice, is embedded across the school and supports all students. The school is well resourced with learning environments designed for effective teaching and equipped with technology that enhances learning. Our library is an innovative learning hub where students engage in flexible pedagogy guiding self-directed and creative learners. **Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach Infants / Primary with a demonstrated ability to balance the dual role of an exemplary classroom teacher and the leadership responsibilities of the Assistant Principal position
Proven ability to inspire teams to work collaboratively on literacy and numeracy programs with demonstrated capacity to lead change during periods of curriculum reform
Expertise in leading school ICT systems and priorities, including innovative practices that enhance student engagement and improve outcomes
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students and parents ensuring all feel valued, respected and known at school
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning- 6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies**Conditions**:
