About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for service passionate and highly motivated Food and Beverage Attendants to join our award-winning team at Stamford Plaza Adelaide on a full time basis. Stamford Plaza Adelaide is one of Adelaide’s premier city hotels located on North Terrace, conveniently accessible by public transport and less than five minutes from Adelaide’s Rundle Mall shopping complex. The Hotel features 300+ luxury rooms and all the trimmings of a 5-star property.
To be successful in this role, we seek applicants who have a passion for hospitality and bring to life unforgettable guest experiences with the opportunity to work closely with the our Food and Beverage Leadership Team supporting and leading the our Terrace Garden’s Restaurant or our famous Argentinian restaurant, La Boca or if cocktails are your expertise, we can roster you to join the Cascades Lounge Team.
Key Responsibilities
Uphold Stamford Plaza Adelaide’s service standards, this includes immediate guest acknowledgement via verbal greeting paired with a warm smile
Take guest reservations, seat parties and answer general questions about the restaurant, Hotel and the local area
Assist with floor plan and cleanliness requirements prior to meal service, this includes table, banquet & buffet set up and clearance
Memorise menu/s, offer guests educated food paring suggestions, upsell products and be able to cater for guests with dietary requests
Manage guests’ food orders and work with a team of chefs, managers and other food and beverage attendants to ensure guests have a positive experience
Strong interpersonal skills, be able to communicate openly and professionally to cater to our guests needs promptly and professionally on every occasion during your shift
Display empathy and kindness to all internal and external guests
About you
You will have a bright, energetic attitude, hold a current RSA and Food Handlers Certificate, in addition to:
An understanding of wine service including recommendations, food pairing and precise pouring skills
The ability to handle 3 or more plates at one time with ease
A high level of personal presentation and grooming
Flexibility to work various rostered shifts over a seven-day roster
Demonstrated experience as a Food and Beverage Attendant
