**NizCare Support Services ** is a small company offering a niche service to the NDIS community. We work as a small team to build individual capacity, focusing on promoting independence, wellbeing, socialisation and inclusion in the daily life of our participants.

We are a small team of student counselors, support workers, life coaches & holistic healers; an outcome focused team possessing a high regard for participant goals.

We are now looking for likeminded, energetic and empathic people to join our team.

**THE ROLE**:

- **Casual disability support worker ** to work in our social Inclusion and daily life supports division. The primary objective of the role is excellent customer service providing direct care assistance to participants living with mental health disability.
- Wage is in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Assisting with attending appointments.
- Helping with household tasks, cleaning, laundry, planning meals and cooking.
- Encouraging participants to build relationships with family and peers.
- Working closely and collaboratively with participants to explore their needs and create opportunities to enhance their wellbeing and growth.
- Keeping detailed records of activities performed and the client’s progress.
- Following and maintaining workplace procedures.

**SKILLS & CAPABILITIES REQUIRED**:

- Active listening and high level written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with people with a disability or experiencing mental health either in a professional environment or may be demonstrated through non-professional means or life experience.
- Experience with domestic duties.
- Demonstrated empathy, compassion and integrity.
- Ability to function as a constructive and collaborative member of a small cohesive team.
- A genuine desire to provide quality care and enhance the life of our clients.
- Computer skills with access to the internet and smartphone for rosters, timesheets and client reporting.
- Reliable, responsible attitude towards work, be able to follow direction, take initiative and able to commit to regular hours ongoing.

**QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS**:

- NDIS commission worker orientation module.
- NDIS worker screening check.
- Access to a registered and insured reliable motor vehicle.
- Current first Aid, CPR, blue card with yellow card exemption or NDIS worker screening Card.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
