The Role

Our Brookview Community site, located in Westmeadows, Victoria and looking for a Food Services Assistant that is committed to ensuring that quality meals are provided in a warm, homely, efficient, and safe environment for residents within the community.

About you

You have a previous working experience in a Catering or a Hospitality group and have well developed relationships building skills with both internal and external clients.

**Other key areas of the role will include**:
Reporting and liaising with Dining Service Monitor in all matters relating to staff, including annual and sick leave, Work Cover, and timesheets.

Ensuring the rethermalizing and serving of meals is undertaken according to guidelines.

Make recommendations to the Dining Service Monitor on ancillary equipment/fittings related to food services and perform other duties as requested.

Ensuring all relevant legislation is adhered to.

Communicating with care staff regarding meal requirements such as likes, dislikes, quality etc.

**Liaise regularly with Dining Service Monitor regarding**:
Food quality and quantities.

**Further to this, you will ideally bring the following**:
Relevant Industry Training in food safety.

Catering/hospitality certificate III or greater

Satisfactory police check or willingness to obtain

Current Influenza and COVID-19 vaccination or willingness to obtain before commencement
